MISSION
As an advocate for individuals of all ages who suffer from a disability, Mike is actively involved in working with others through drumming and other forms of percussion to raise awareness, encourage acceptance, promote positivity , and offer healing/dealing techniques.
Mike, himself, has struggled throughout his life with ADD/ADHD and OCD disorders. Given the severity of his conditions as a child and up through his teen years, it wasn't until 2011 that he decided that his life's lessons would be a helpful tool for others. Mike began his journey with private lessons with students and is now also engaged in teaching classes, clinics, and speaking in large and small group settings.
The goal of Upbeat Outreach, LLC is to continue doing just that while expanding in approach and scale. Mike has a fantastic track record working in several schools, learning centers, and community centers and with collaborating with other clinicians and musicians.
Mike is very enthusiastic about traveling to your location to work with your students, patients, parents, teachers, and aides. He believes that drumming can be an effective therapeutic means of overcoming the obstacles of physical, emotional, and mental handicaps.
